This is a classic conundrum - meaning that there is no acceptable answer.  Ayn Rand said, when faced with a contradiction, examine your premises - one of them is wrong.

In this case, evolutionary mutations gave rise to chicken-like birds but it took the combination of two similarly mutated chicken-like birds to get to the point where someone, eventually, called it a chicken.    After that, all eggs had chickens and all (female) chickens had eggs.

Reptiles came first, then one day one of them layed an egg with some serious mutations in the DNA which produced a new species.  After several more mutations, the DNA stabalized into chickens and other birds.

Everyone has different thoughts its both and impossible, If the chicke came 1st then it had to be an egg, if an egg came 1st it has to have a chicken to lay it
