What can first, the chicken of the egg?

In this case, evolutionary mutations gave rise to chicken-like birds but it took the combination of two similarly mutated chicken-like birds to get to the point where someone, eventually, called it a chicken.    After that, all eggs had chickens and all (female) chickens had eggs.the chicken because without the chicken how can it produce an egg?
