The Sopranos and my parrot do not mix.......?

About a week ago my asinine roomate "accidently" left HBO on all night (The Sopranos to be exact) and now my parrot "Clyde" has developed an explicit vocabulary. Just the other morning I went to greet my feathered friend and was quite appalled by his response.... he replied with "F- yourself". All my attempts to discourage Clyde from saying such vulgar words has failed. You can only imagine how upsetting it is for my bird to repeatedly tell me to go and F*** myself every morning. So if anyone has any suggestions on how I can ween, if you will, my beloved Clyde off such horrible words it would be greatly appreciated.

either, squirt him with a water bottle everytime he says a bad word, or buy a pellet gun..., by the way, I'm laughing my *** off right now.answers
It's funny, yet sad at the time time. You should be able to get Clyde to stop saying obscenities by teaching him other new words. Just be sure not to swear in front of him or he'll probably start up again.answers
LOL Bravo... that was great! keep up the good humoranswers
I agree with the person who said to teach him new words. Parrots just echo what they hear, so if you teach him enough non-profane words he should eventually stop with the profanity.answers
I sadly think this is funny, so sorry for my laughter at first, my grandfather tryed for years to get his parrot to cuss, and he never got a single swear word out of him. But we found that our parrot picked up kids movies really easily, he ended up singing Aladdin songs, and beauty and the beast growls. And our parrot also lkes to go "here kitty kitty kitty" (i have no idea why) The best advice i can give you is to find another movie and leave it in all night. he obviously likes to learn to talk in the night. good luck
