I'd just like to know different opinions.
For the comfort of your cat, it would be best if he/she is used to a somewhat loud environment - I used to leave a television or radio on pretty high. And also be used to having plenty of people around, allowing them to handle him/her.
The cat needs to be very well groomed, including bathing, and must have nails trimmed.
Other than some cage curtains to give your cat some privacy and perhaps a lesson in patience - that's about it.
