A healthy diet for a pigeon?

I just found a pigeon with a broken wing.  It will obviously never fly again, so I have decided that I must look after it. I already have cockateils. love birds, budgies and finches.  But what do you feed a pigeon on?

A properly cared for bird with a broken wing most definitely can fly again.  If you do not get proper veterinary care for the bird you are dooming it to human dependence and, as you can see, few people are as in love with sky rats as you are.

Many vets have "wildlife" discounts, or you can turn it over to animal control for humane euthanesia.  But to answer the question, the same thing all birds eat.

Should pigeouns go on diets. I've never heard of that. Well i geusse feed him bird seeds with low carbs. Or you can feed him vegetables. You can go to the pet shop and ask them.
answers
Some people call pigeons the rats of the sky.  They will eat just about anything.  Pigeons are related to quail and quail are really tasty* after eating grain and similar seeds, so I would feed it something like the bird seed or corn you would feed wrens and such in the back yard.

*Since you probably aren't going to eat it, the "tasty" reference is to a well-fed and definitely healthy bird.
answers
Normal wild bird mix from your pet store or garden centre.
